Our Ranch

When you visit Salinas Ranch you will go past a three-acre pond to the main house, and be greeted by three German Shepherds. The ranch is home to some of the finest Polled Brahman cattle in the United States. Through hard work, determination and a little luck the American dream is alive and well.

Lodging

In 2016 we finally figured out what to do with the cedar trees that died during the 2011 drought… we completed our guest lodge! We had it wrapped in stone and milled cedar logs harvested from the ranch. We finally figured out what to do with the cedar trees that died during the 2011 drought. The lodge has old, world rustic features, such as cabinets made of 100 year old barn wood, handmade interior cedar doors, a wine rack incorporating mesquite doors that have been passed down through the family, an upstairs game room with multi-colored reclaimed Longleaf Pine flooring, and hand rubbed milk paint walls. Milled cedar and cypress wood was used throughout the lodge. Enjoy a glass of wine by the custom fireplace in the living room or head upstairs to the large cedar wrapped balcony and enjoy the sunset. The lodge is truly a one of a kind home and worth a stay. It is available for daily and weekly rental thoughout the year. Please contact us for availability.

Hunting

All the native deer were removed a few years back and replaced with outstanding 200 inch plus genetics. Most of our new deer came from Mosley Whitetails and Revel Racks. Genetics from great bucks such as Gladiator, Alpha, Bambi, Seal Team, Express, and Hammertime were released on the ranch. We are seeing some great horn growth and we look for huge things to come. Migratory birds and water fowl can be spotted throughout the ponds and slews. Feral hogs are found intermittently; it’s a constant challenge to keep them out.
